DOX MODERN MIDDLE

by MEGAN POPE

Raphaela, a young Modern Orthodox woman, is sent to Israel to “heal” - from her relationship with another woman. In Jerusalem, she discovers a community of drag performers who change her, and a new idea of how she can become herself.

In this play, Megan asks the really hard question - not will I be gay or will I be Orthodox, but how can I be gay AND Orthodox. That’s a 21st Century question.
— Artistic Director David Winitsky
