A fantastic time had by all on Sunday evening as the JPP Developmental Company got off to a great start!

At the very fun Revival on East 15th Street, a lovely and chatty group of 35 or so artists got together to hear about the opportunities on the schedule this year to develop new Jewish theater in New York City. (To get all the nitty gritty, click here).

Over the course of the spring, we're gonna have chances to develop 5-10 new works here in New York, in New Haven, and in Jersey, all culminating in our 2nd annual OPEN Residency at the 14th Street Y in June of 2013. It's gonna rock!

You know you want to get in on this action, so here's what you can do RIGHT NOW:

Get on the Artist Panel for the 2nd Round of the Jewish Playwriting Contest.
This is where the bulk of our material will come from this year, so read 5 of the best new Jewish plays around, and then join us for the Final Selection meeting in December. If you are not on the list already, email me right now.
**Note - preference in casting and artist teams will be given to those who participated in this part.**

For the future:

If you are a director: make sure you read the plays, and find the one that YOU passionately want to develop in our Monday Night Reading/Workshop Series starting in the spring.

If you are an actor: look out for the Company auditions in early January. We'll have you read from our Contest Top 10, and put together casts for our Contest and reading events.

If you are a designer: read up, and get ready to make some inspirational visuals to accompany our readings.

Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed some pizza and good conversation!
